The New York Giants, after qualifying for the postseason 15 times between the years 1981-2011, have only played one playoff game over the last nine seasons. That was after they finished 11-5 in 2011 and went on to lose to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round.
In fact, the Giants’ haven’t won a playoff game since they defeated the New England Patriots, 21-17, in Super Bowl XLVI. That drought is currently the eighth-longest among NFL teams.

The Cincinnati Bengals have gone the longest without a playoff win (1990) followed by the Detroit Lions (1991), Miami Dolphins (2000), Las Vegas Raiders (2002), Washington Football Team (2005), New York Jets (2010), Chicago Bears (2010) and then, of course, the Giants (2011).
Since the Super Bowl XLVI win, the Giants have had just two winning seasons — 2012 (9-7) and 2016. Since 2017, the Giants have gone 3-13, 5-11, 4-12 and improved to 6-10 this year.
The four consecutive double-digit loss seasons is a franchise high, breaking the previous high of three set back from 1978-1980.
